VMP Covergirl - Sunnie Fenk

This week’s VMP Covergirl is……Sunnie Fenk!🎉

Sunnie is a true force of connection and kindness. As a 2024 Cribs for Kids Women of Achievement award winner and super-connector, she’s built a life centered on empowering others and making an impact. She’s also recently been appointed to the Mentorship and Membership Committee of the Brave Women Project.

Now in her 50s, she’s embracing a new level of confidence and freedom—living unapologetically and proving that this chapter is all about giving back and owning your worth. 🌟

Sunnie’s story is a reminder to trust the journey, embrace who you are, and stop worrying about what others think. Life is about showing up authentically, building connections, and creating a legacy of kindness and strength.

Here’s what she had to say about this time in your life…

💎 Did you have any older female role models when you were younger?

When I was younger, my grandmother was my true role model—she taught me to embrace who I am, reminding me that I am enough just as I am. Her advice to not worry about what others think has been a guiding principle in my life, empowering me to live authentically and confidently.

💎 How did you mark turning 50? How did that feel to you?

Turning 50 was a mix of emotions, but my husband made it unforgettable with a surprise party, bringing together my closest friends and family. Their love and support made me feel deeply cherished, turning what felt challenging into a beautiful celebration of life and connection.

💎 What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to trust the journey and not be afraid to take risks, even when the path seems uncertain. Believe in your worth, stay true to yourself, and know that every challenge you face will help shape the strong, resilient person you’ll become.

💎 Do you feel like you've changed since you've turned 50?

Since turning 50, I’ve embraced the deeper purpose of giving back and supporting other women, which has brought immense fulfillment to my life. My values have shifted toward building meaningful connections and empowering others, which I now see as the true essence of beauty and strength.

💎 What positives have come from being over 50?

The biggest positive of being over 50 is not giving a shit about what others think. It’s freeing to fully embrace who I am and live life unapologetically.

💎 Do you have any goals or projects you're working on? What dreams do you have for the future?

My goal is to make an impact on as many lives as I can by empowering others and creating meaningful change. For the future, I dream of continuing to inspire and support others while leaving a legacy of kindness and strength.

💎 What is your best advice for other women who are coming up on turning 50? What do you 'know' now?

Embrace turning 50 as a time to fully own who you are and stop worrying about what others think—it’s freeing and empowering. What I know now is that life is about giving back, building meaningful connections, and finding joy in being unapologetically yourself.

💎 What do you most want people to remember about you?

I’d like people to describe me as kind, strong, and someone who made a positive impact on the lives of others. I hope they remember me for uplifting those around me and living authentically with purpose and compassion.

💎 Why are beautiful photos important to you right now?

Beautiful photos are important to me because they capture the moments, people, and milestones that define this stage of my life. They serve as a reminder of the joy, growth, and connections I’ve built, allowing me to celebrate and reflect on how far I’ve come.

Congratulations Sunnie! 🎉
